A coupling gear is a type of connecting element
used in mechanical power transmission systems. These gears connect two different
rotational elements (e.g. motor and shaft), allowing motion and power to be transferred
from one element to the other. Coupling gears generally improve the performance of
mechanical systems by offering flexibility, alignment tolerance and vibration damping
characteristics.
Advantages of Use
- Tolerates alignment problems in the system.
- Provides an uninterrupted connection in power transmission.
- Minimises mechanical problems during operation.
- Long life with its strong and durable design.
